Conditions: Temperature: 14F, wind-chill 2F. Course: full 2.5 km man-made Valley Trail loop, glare ice, fast condition. The temperature kept dropping. Race distance: 2 laps of 2 .5km (5K total), mass start.

Welcome all skiers and families/friends to next Wednesday night, Feb. 25, 2009 for an easy post-Birkie skiing to celebrate the 2008-2009 Elm Creek Time Trial series and meet the TEAM STRONG HEART cycling members. Meet start time at 6:30pm, inside the Chalet, and ski start time at 7pm, RELAY format (individuals, 2-person team). Cost: optional, $0 - $10, all proceeds go to SILENT SPORTS FOUNDATION to support CAMP ODAYIN kids who suffer cardiovascular diseases.

Also, please come and join us at the 20th POLE PEDAL PANT winter triathlon (10k ski, 7k bike, and 7k run), at 9am, on March 14th, Sat. held at Elm Creek Park Reserve. This winter triathlon is the oldest winter triathlon in U.S. Please check the race info at the official race website: www.rainbowresort.com/ppp. The marathon running legend, Dick Beardsley (Grandma’s marathon and Napa Valley marathon course record holder), will be co-MC the event.
