Elm Creek Series Results

Conditions: Air Temp. 28F, light wind, slower conditions than last week however still fast times. There was a thaw and freeze of snow over the past few days that created some of the up hills to be soft and mushy.

Unbelievable skiing field! This is one of the strongest fields the Elm Creek Time Trial has ever posted both in numbers and fast times. Records were not broken but efforts where 110 percent, leaving a lot of skiers with little left in the tank for the classic race that followed. Matt Liebsch just about missed the finish line by stopping to soon. He took video pictures throughout the race and still made everyone hurt, coming in first on the freestyle race. Cory Ellertson 2nd place Freestyle finisher shouted at Matt to keep going, because he didn’t want to” win a race that way”. Cory took home the fastest time in the classic race. Top female finisher for both Freestyle and classic was Kathleen Danielson from Woodbury. There were many close and memorable finishes, congratulations to all the skiers.

Race course 2 laps of 2.5k(valley trail), race distance 5(K0 both Freestyle/classic, Mass start / self-seeding.

On Dec 30th Tues our ECTT will be putting on a team competition that includes combining times of team members for a total score.
