Mesabi East Invite Update
We are excited to see you Saturday morning, I just wanted to follow up with some last minute reminders.
Schedule update:
Friday, January 5th
- Packet pickup (1st floor chalet, ticketing desk) 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Saturday, Jan.6th
- Packet Pickup (1st floor chalet, ticketing desk) 6:30 am – 8:00 am
(if you show up for packet pickup at 7:45, you will likely be late for the coaches meeting) - Coaches Meeting 8:30 – Burnt Onion Restaurant
- Course preview/inspection 8:30 – 9:45
- Classic Race start 10:00 (please see start lists for detailed start times)
- Skate Race Start 12:45 (please see start lists for detailed start times)
Waivers: A majority of teams/skiers have not signed their waivers yet. If you don’t sign the waiver, you won’t be able to ski. Please get these signed TODAY, so that our staff can get everything squared away ahead of time. If you need the link again, here it is: https://waivers.edgeauditor.com/auto-setup/giant/auqz89
Unsigned waivers will significantly slow down your packet pick up experience.
Payment is due no later than time of packet pick up. If you won’t be able to pay at that time, please make prior arrangements.
Running area: If your team would like to go for a run to warm up the place to do it is on the paved Mesabi trail heading East across the bridge that takes you over the lakes. We don’t want any running on any Nordic trails due to the forecasted snow, and potential future grooming issues that could cause.
Please remember that there is nowhere to ski/warm up on Friday due to course prep. The only opportunity to ski is during course preview Saturday morning (and of course as a racer).
