Great Bear Chase Cancelled; Transfers to 2025 At No Cost

Predicted warm temperatures this weekend and uncertainty over snow conditions has led the organizing committee to cancel the 44th annual Great Bear Chase. While there is still snow and skiing at Swedetown, the base is much lower than normal and the National Weather Service is predicting highs near 50 Friday through Monday with the possibility of rain. The organizing committee determined that it is uncertain whether they could hold a safe and high-quality race and didn't want to defer a decision any longer.

The race is offering registrants the opportunity to transfer to the 2025 race at no additional cost.
