    Organizers have rescheduled the race from Jan 14 to Feb 3, due to poor snow conditions.

• Feb 3 Valley Spur Classic (Munising, MI)  

  • Jan 31 update:
    We are in melting conditions so it feels like spring. The base is probably at 5" of pack. We are leaving the tracks alone this week so skiers are keeping them skied in. The groomers will scuff up the skate lanes the morning of the race for descending. We changed the course from very hilly to rolling hills and a large amount of double pole stretches. So, basically skiers can expect late season ski conditions.

    Organizers report they are sure the race is on. Even with warm weather on tap, they think they'll survive the week.
