What an epic day of grooming. There were five of us out in equipment dealing with 10 inches of snow and high winds. I spent 9 hours in my Pisten Bully, the other groomers spent 6 hours grooming. And the skiing was quite good with a firm skate deck once the snow stopped at 1 pm. We are not grooming all the combi trails, but we are grooming is quite firm and nice. Classic skiers tomorrow will be rewarded with classic only Ridge runner, Popple flats, pit point. Sunday is our last day of the season. Don't miss Taste on the Trails 12-2 on Sunday. If weather holds up it will be an outdoors event as usual. See the Anderson Bluffs and River Trails Foundation newsletter for the latest happenings. Big news for the ABR Ski Trails.

Skate deck a bit soft but considering over 20 inches of new ski great. Tracks on River Trail excellent. Thank you Eric and grooming crew for the great trails and grooming several times today to keep up with the snow.

Beautiful day on the trails. The grooming brigade had just finished up when I got out and it was a winter wonderland. So impressed at the care taken to make the trails nice for us, even during a big snow event and near the end of season. It felt like January conditions. Too bad it isn't.

Observation Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Warm temps last night and rain was in the forecast so we did not groom this morning. We had about 25 skiers mostly in the 9-1 PM period, reporting skiing was good. The rain started at 1 PM as forecast and turned to snow at 4 PM. Grooming plans: We have a full crew reporting in Friday morning. Taste on the Trails is moved to Sunday 12-2.

Great skiing continues at ABR. A few fresh inches overnight were freshly groomed this morning. Regular dustings throughout the morning and temps in the teens made it feel like mid winter.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received about 3-4 inches of snow last night and four groomers were out from early morning until 10 am. The Pisten Bullies took care of the wide trails while the other two single track groomers double teamed the narrow single tracks. It did snow another 2-3 inches over the course of the day. Recreational skiers were happy with conditions. The trails will close one week from today - Sunday March 19 5 pm. If you want to purchase your pass at the spring discounted rate sign up now til April 1st.

Both Pisten Bullies were out again this morning for 3-4 hours. We tilled up most combi trails and the single track groomer reset classic on Hemlock, Sunset, Wolf Track and Jacks Flats. Skiing was excellent on the 50 km we groomed. We have a full crew on Friday early morning and plan to regroom a bit more. Please make sure to check in late season when we have the freeze thaw sessions to see where the groomers went. Sometimes you can tell: if the first 100 feet of Peltonen Pass is icy the rest of it will be too. Pick a groomed trail if you want to have a fun safe ski.

Pig Heart and Crasher took care of grooming most of the combi trails this early morning with the Pisten Bullies. Snow Cross groomed all the single track. Skiing was reported by all as primo. Angela enjoyed skiing this afternoon and reported her pre-birthday ski was awesome. Grooming plans: Groomers heading out again in the early morning. So far 181 inches of snowfall, 2 feet of base but we scheduled Sunday March 19 as our closing date. Don't miss Taste of the Trails March 18th 12-2:00.

Skied from Otter Slide, southern end, to White Pines, northern tip. All trails were excellent, great track setting.
We skied 14.7 miles and loved the trails running by the Montreal River.
