Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trail was rolled 3 times, packed once and tracks set with the Tidd Tech groomer. Grooming was completed at 9:00 a.m. The tracks aren’t the quite the same quality as normal, but the conditions were too soft to use our regular tracksetter. The trail will be softer than normal. Our base went from about 2 inches to more than 12 inches since Friday morning. Hopefully things will stiffen up with the cold temps. It’s truly a winter wonderland out there today. Enjoy and stay safe.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
With temperatures hovering just above and below freezing the trail has become very icy. We will not be able to groom again until we get some fresh snow because the base is so thin. If you ski please use extreme caution.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Chassell was rolled on Monday, January 18th. We received some new, very light lake effect on Monday night. New tracks were set on Tuesday, evening, with grooming concluded about 7:30 p.m. Conditions range from fair to very good. We really need another 4 inches of dense snow to have a solid base.

Our base is very thin, so no grooming until we get more snow. The trail saw a lot of use this weekend, so the tracks and glazed and very fast. Ski with caution and do a snow dance.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
My daughter, Linnea, and I had a fun sunset classic ski at the Chassell classic trail. It’s so neat as it winds through the forest and over the mini gorge with creek below. Tracks always seem a little slippery than other trails so it’s a fun fast ride back down. Kudos to those taking care of this gem!
