Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Bare ground ]
Bring your trail shoes instead of skis. Most of the trail is ice with bare ground. There is maybe one mile of trail that would be fun to try and skate ski on. Temps are currently 57.5.

Monday morning will probably be the last grooming of the season. Enlarging bare patches mainly on Potlatch and Big Ben. Should be at least a few more days of skiing possible.

Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Soft fairly wet snow in afternoon. Ski Club groomer plans to groom in the mornings this weekend (only skate deck, no tracks set). Should be good and fast until warm up. Only a few small bare patches, but some areas have a bunch of pine needles and a few oak leaves.

Skate lanes have been groomed and are fast! No set tracks as the snow is too crumbly. Will ski as long as we can into the week! Get out here soon!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The temp has dropped enough for our groomers to get out. They are chipping up the ice, then rolling and setting. There are some soft spots, a few patches of bare ground in places that got a lot of rain, and some icy areas. The good news... it's still skiing!

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We are officially shutting the lights off on the trails today! Daylight Savings time has come and we just don't need them on anymore! We are out grooming right now after this weekend's fresh 6 inches of snow. Groomers are rolling and setting track and should be done by 1 pm. Gorgeous weather. Expect heavy use for the next few days.

Best day ever! Snow is still cold and firm this afternoon. Tracks are set and fabulous. A few pin oak leaves... but hey, we are an Arboretum, or as the kids call it, "The Tree Zoo!" We will groom again when snow stops falling, if the weather predictions hold true. Light are on until 9 pm tonight.

Fresh snow last night again. Everything is groomed. New tracks being set. Oak leaves have mostly blown off the trails. Snow pack is awesome. Great skiing!

All trails have been groomed after yesterday's fresh snow. Tracks are set. Skate lanes are a bit soft this afternoon due to warm temps but should settle in for excellent evening skiing and for tomorrow.

Excellent trail conditions at the Arb. Well packed fine-grained old snow. Firm skate deck and solid classic track with very few oak leaves.
