Good spring skiing Saturday after some grooming. Watch out for expanding scattered bare patches and icy sections. Best conditions are on the most of the lighted trails (except South Acron on the paved Paul Bunyon trail), Rudy's and Little Ben. Plan is to groom Sunday, probably late morning, and maybe Monday but that will probably be it for the season. Grooming will probably not do outer Potlatch-Big Ben loop and Northstar. Should still be skiable for awhile yet.

Very nice freestyle grooming. Bare spot on Potlatch ridge. NorthStar not groomed. Fast, some deep cuts from yesterday afternoon now frozen in. Be nice everyone, skiing in the morning is best for keeping late season trails in good shape! Hats off to the groomers!

Skating was very good. With just a couple bare spots and very few icy area, most of the trails were groomed and in good shape. The glide was particularly good with temps in the mid-20's. My expectations were low so conditions were surprisingly pleasant!

Very nice skiing just after the groomer had finished in the afternoon. Sunny sections were soft and moist while shadier areas were more crusty, but all with nice corduroy. As the afternoon went on the soft sections started to freeze up a little. Short bare spot on the high point of Big Ben with no more snow bridge; the other bare areas had narrow snow passages. Groomer plans to be out again Saturday mid-day.

Most skate lanes were groomed late morning today after the 0.2 inches of rain on Thursday. With cooler temps the grooming should hold up for the weekend.

Had a great skate ski today at noon, after the groomers had been through. Was so much better than I expected. Due to a short ski, skipped Rudy's and Big Ben, Potlach was bare in a few spots and icy. But most the other trails were great, and fun spring ski. Glad I didn't put away the skis!

Tuesday afternoon the Arb trails were slightly soft-moist transformed snow that had been groomed earlier in the day which made for nice skating. Only a few small bare spots on the outer Big Ben-Potlatch loop. Old classic track barely hanging on but not really usable.

Groomed yesterday and again this morning. Where groomed its great! --nice texture of relatively loose snow granules. No icy conditions at all. Where not groomed today (like Northstar), its still fair skiing.

Skate lanes groomed today which softened up the hard pack. Fast old/transformed snow. Tracks are older and solid with a little newer snow in them, but also some oak leaves and other tree debris.

Recent grooming made for pretty good conditions. The tracks were firm, but oak leaves in certain sections tended to catch on my kick wax. The skating looked fast and just soft enough generally throughout. Nice night to go skiing.
