Rock solid classic tracks in this park. Double set. Wonderful conditions should only get faster as the weather warms this week. Not bad at all for leaves in tracks. I used waxable skis for good grip even up the hills.

I skied the outer loop Sunday and Tuesday with similar conditions both days. There is a good amount of snow in the woods and the ice from a few weeks ago is covered. The tracks have some leaf accumulation and the deer have been pretty active in some areas.

Nice trail grooming on outer loop for this double classic trail set up. No skating. Very fun outing on a blue sky day. Fun downhills with a few challenging corners at the base. Surprised not to find some animals out and about. Only tracks off the edge of trail cool day in January.

Wow. Such a great ski on new snow. I went around the outside loop just once and the entire loop was in great condition.

The couple inches of powdery snow we got last night made for Lake Maria skiing perfection today! Classic tracks were freshly groomed. The snow was soft but not mushy. Get out there and enjoy it if you can!

First time on these trails. Very scenic with rolling wooded terrain (and I saw a pileated woodpecker, which is always fun). Sadly, the hikers and snowshoers had trampled much of the trail system. A couple sections further from the road or parking areas were relatively untouched.

Really enjoyed skiing today -- did the entire outer loop of the park, which had mostly been groomed with classic tracks, though some parts of the Big Woods Trail and the Bjorkland Trail were skied-in tracks or just a trail packed by walkers/snowshoers/toboggan. All areas were very skiable and had snow soft enough to snowplow without any problem, no crusty hard edges to anything, very few dirt patches. I skied three hours and totally enjoyed my first time out for the season. Great place to go for anyone who is interested in a nice trail through the woods and not necessarily going for the speed. Not crowded -- saw only three skiers.

The trails have been groomed with classic tracks set. There are some spots that have bare patches and roots.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Trails are open but not groomed. It looks like the park will be working on them because they've separated the hiking trail from the ski trail. Some tracks have been skied in.
