Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Drummond Ski Area received a layer of ice and then a few inches of snow. No one has groomed since before this occurred. Tracks are still in place. The ice has brought frozen limbs into the trail corridor. Please be safe and attentive. 25" Base.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Drummond Ski Area received over two feet of snow this week. Recreating the base and grooming it was tremendous. It is currently a winter wonderland.
The entire system has been groomed and tracked except for furthest loop beyond the Jackrabbit turnoff. Thank you very much to our entirely volunteer groomers.

New tracks were reset throughout Drummond Ski Area. Big thanks to Dale who mixed the two inches of new snow into the scarified base and set new tracks. The trails are set until the next new snow. Enjoy the fresh skiing!

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The entire Drummond Ski Trail system was groomed and tracked last on Jan 22nd. No new snow, except a dusting, cold temperatures, some drifting. We did not groom or set new tracks this week. With the lack of new snow to mix in, we could not improve on the tracks that were set last Saturday. The base and tracks are holding up nicely. 9 inches base.

New tracks on all the Drummond Ski Trail loops today. Jim incorporated at least two inches of new snow into the trails and set new tracks that look good. There was plenty of debris and leaves blown onto the surface from the winds recently. While the tracks are very good, the presence of debris is annoying. Crisp temperatures and sunshine make for good skiing conditions.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Fantastic classic tracks: well formed and firm, snow (not ice), no dirt, and a few oak leaves from the recent wind (which causes no issues at all). Drummond is groomed virtually the same as the Birkie tracks that were set for last Saturday's Birkie Tour!

All of the trails have new tracks. Friday Dale rolled 8-10 inches of new snow, letting it knit together and freeze overnight. Jim set tracks on every loop today. With so much new snow, the tracks may be soft. The woods is quite scenic, with fir branches loaded with the fluffy, new snow.
