Wood Lake Nature Center is a nice low-key place to go for a short (1.6 mile) classic ski around a scenic part of Richfield. There were double classic tracks around most of the loop, and quite a few families out enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. Fun little loop!

Wood Lake is a real gem! Natural snow. Free to ski with your equipment. Cheap rentals available, too. Narrow, classsic-only trail with flat terrain. Well-set tracks holding up decently even in today's temps. The nature center and abundant signage help keep traffic to the ski trail and multi-use/snowshoe trail, respectively. Classic conditions at Wood Lake superior to many golf courses trails in the metro area.
