Observation
[ Trails: Closed ]
Trail is gone - melted out. Gratitude and appreciation for our Loppet groomers. I've enjoyed the longest Nordic season in recent memory but Spring has come. Until next season... or our annual April snow? Peace, friends.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Maybe the last grooming for Isles this season. Unless it snows there is little to work with out there . Classic tracks are pretty icy to very icy. Made numerous passes on the skate deck which scuffed it up to provide for a little edging, but there are deep ruts I couldn't do anything with. A couple of ace local skiers said it was fast and controllable. Should also be good crust skiing before the snow softens. Thankful for a good snow year.

Isles: shallow barely skiable groomed tracks. Skate deck looked fine for freestyle. Cedar: ungroomed; ok on east side but west was icy. Our ski days are sadly done unless we get snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Isles was groomed for skate and classic. The skate deck is smooth and firm, should provide for some fast conditions. Classic tracks are good some places and thin in other places. There are potentially icy spots mostly on the north end. The track was set more towards the center of the lake (looking for more snow) and I added a few more curves just for fun.

Isles groomed for fun in the sun with your skinny ski or skate setup. Enjoyed B+ tracks and snow soft enough that I could blaze my own start from NE corner by episcopal church.

Isles was groomed this morning. Had gotten quite windblown in the last days. New non-icy classic tracks set. Lots of folks out enjoying the city lakes.

Lake BMS: Ungroomed but firm enough for skate, OT, BC, or touring skiers Do: Enjoy the sunshine, adventure and bring off track setup or skate. Do not wear your sleek smooth svelte sassy neon spandex ski suit.

Back again today for a couple more laps and there was fresh corduroy and two sets of classic tracks. Classic tracks weren't super firm but they were better today than yesterday. Not setting any land speed records but for this late in the year, it was delightful. Thanks again groomers!

Isles was great tonight at 5:30 pm. Solid for skate skiing and plenty of corduroy left. The classic tracks look deep. Thank you to the groomers for helping us enjoy this late season skiing!
