Trail Reports

2021-2022 season
Reports 1 to 9 of 9    Month: Feb | Jan
Wednesday, February 9, 2022
Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
There are a lot of bare patches of grass and pavement showing. The packed trails are very thin in a lot of places and snow is not the greatest as public has started to walk the trails. Not enough snow to allow for grooming so trails are technically open for people with their own skis, but ski at your own risk! (and potential damage to your skis). The nature center has stopped ski rentals until further notice/more snow happens.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Ski trails have had a lot of use and grooming done, which has increased the amount of bare patches on the trails. Most trails have at least some bare patches, some trails are mostly bare. South trails in the woods are better than the north trails by the prairies.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
After multiple passes of our groomer, there are more rough patches with grass showing. Everything is groomed and tracked still. Just would not use your best skis.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails at the center are packed and pristine for skate skiing but no classic tracks set yet. No problems classic skiing on the packed trails. Snow is powdery so conditions are pretty good.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Trails are not groomed from the new snow that we received over the weekend. Snow is light and fluffy for about 3 inches until the previous packed base is reached. Trails will hopefully get groomed soon.
