Groomed the inner two loops today. Both have tracks set. Two inches more of fresh snow worked in along with colder temps should make this trail a good ski option for this week! Come out and enjoy some solitude at this hidden gem!

Penokee has not been groomed yet. We apologize! Mother nature keeps throwing us curve balls. We plan on getting the trails packed and groomed next week.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We appreciate your patience during the government shutdown, and we will work diligently to get the trails open and groomed as soon as we can.The trail head parking lot has not been plowed. We attempted to plow, but there was to much ice built up to pull into the trail head parking. The Forest Service will have the parking lot cleaned up this week. Penokee ski trails are planned to be groomed the week of February 3. For now, if you are feeling adventurous and are heading out there expect a backcountry experience.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Penokee has about 8 inches of snow on the ground. The trails were packed with a snowmobile, but more snow is needed before tracks can be set. There are a few spring fed puddles that have not froze solid yet on the trail. Think snow!
