Trails are located between the athletic fields and the Sauk River on the east side of town. The trails are rated easy to moderate with cut-offs to avoid the few large hills.

Bird watching and skiing! Trail was groomed this morning for both skate and classic with a deep base throughout. One short loop closed due to icy and rutted hill. Just a couple places where ice is showing through, but the sun will soften those. The river is filled with migrating birds.

Recent snows have buried the ice from mid February, so we are setting up for great spring skiing. Tracks set and skate lanes open with full coverage.

Trail is open with good coverage. Classic tracks are perfect, but skate deck may still be a little soft. Best trail access is behind the senior high next to the entrance for the track. Free and no ski pass needed.
