Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Great conditions. Skate lane in great shape and tracks set. Beautiful late winter skiing in northern Wisconsin. Some new winding lanes in the Northeast corner of the trail system through the Norway pine plantation, lots of fun for practicing your step turns and for the kids to play on.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Five inches of new dry snow rolled, groomed and tracks set. A couple of new connector sections have been added. Great base building up for very nice spring skiing! Have a super Birkie/Korteloppet and say Hi when you ski through the Gravel Pit!

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Another inch of cold, dry snow on top of the trace amounts from earlier in the week was groomed and new tracks were set. The base is building up and all leaves and pine needles have disappeared. Excellent pre-Birkie skiing.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Three inches of new, dry snow, rolled, groomed and tracked. Good base building up. The new pine plantation trail is a little thin for tracks, but the rest of the trail is holding tracks well. Skate deck is flat and clean.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed this morning and took the air out of the last 6 inches of dry snow from last week with a frame drag. Skate deck is dead flat with a good 4-inch base. Tracks are set on most of the trail, still a little shallow near the pine plantation. Some leaves, twigs and pine needles are still mixed in, maybe use B skis until the base builds up.
