I was so eager to go out on the trails today given the recent snow we've had! The trails were groomed Friday, so there was a bit of snow (1") that fell since then but it didn't impact the conditions at all. I saw a solo skier and a family (4 or 5) classic skiing and the fresh snow was perfectly and easily compacted in the grooves. I was skate skiing along just a small part of the track - given the snow was so fresh and fluffy I had no problems at all. Trails are groomed primarily for classic skiing - the skate track is a bit narrow, but totally doable. Thank you so much to the volunteer groomers! Felt great to get out in such lovely snow - I am up in Arden Hills so it was great to pop over even for a little bit. I'm planning on going back tomorrow! Photo doesn't do the grooves justice... they are continuous this was just a weird blip.

Absolutely fantastic conditions at Cedarholm golf course this morning for classic skiing. Perfectly packed powder. Best conditions yet this winter, and my personal best day of the season in terms of conditions and weather. My sincere compliments to the groomers.

Knocked down the big drifts, so skate deck is nice if a bit soft, and tracks have been set. No grooming on the lake yet.

The lake end is still not groomed, so still about 1.6k is groomed on the golf course. A classy track was set in, it is a bit bumpy on the corners.

Groomed again this evening, some thin spots and grass sticking out in windswept areas, but fun to be able to ski locally!

First time to Cedarholm to try out an eco-tape-wax this afternoon, but it was cold for universal. The parking lot registered 19F with a stiff wind, and despite the blue sky and sun, the snow was a bit crystalline. The skate deck was visible only in a couple places and some of the hillsides were grass-bare. There's not much to stop the west wind on this little Par Three, but I hope to come back when it's in better condition.

About 1.6 km on the golf course is groomed for skate and classic. The lake is not safe, therefore not groomed.
