Notes

On the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College, the trails at The Arboretum are groomed for skiing when there is sufficient snow. Trails are flat with minimal elevation change. The section through the prairie is groomed for classic only, the rest is groomed for both skate and classic.

Trails have firmed up a little bit since yesterday. Still a little bit on the soft and slow side. A little bit of snowshoe traffic but so far the walkers have stayed off the trail.

Trails were freshly groomed for skate and classic after today's 4" of fresh snow. Conditions were a little bit soft but all the footprints were filled in. There is also a new trail groomed across the road to the south.

Afternoon

Considering the size of the area, the trails had a nice classic track only. Tons of snow made for a beautiful outing in the Arboretum. There were some people who'd been walking right down the freshly groomed tracks.
