Trails are packed but not tracked. People and dogs gave been walking all around the pike island ski trail so it's in pretty bad shape. But for a first chance to ski on natural snow at pike Island in 2025, I'll take it!

Snow was not deep - poles hit ground, but no rocks sticking through, so no risk to skis. All of Pike Island loop had snow and tracks had been made but trampled so no longer well defined.

The path to Pike Island is basically footprints, but the Island is much better. It's groomed with one classic set. The NW 1/4 of the island is the best, with the SE having areas with a bunch of shallow tracks, but not real groomed main track. Not the groomer's fault, there were lots of boot prints and thinnish snow. Definitely worth getting out and not many sticks or rocks. Lots of deer!
