Excellent conditions. Some spots you can see a little grass but life's too short to always use my rock skis.

Excellent conditions at Phalen Park. The new snow covered up and smoothed out all the bare spots so it was safe to use good skis. The groomer has done a good job making a long winding loop around the golf course. The skate deck was firm but not enough snow yet to set classic tracks.

Considering the conditions at other city of Saint Paul trails this one is by far in the best condition. Was able to groom a nice skate deck but was unable to set a classic track. There are a few thin spots on a few hill tops but overall a nice trail. Come on out and enjoy before Mother Nature warms up again.

Good afternoon from Phalen. Have pretty good snow depth here. Rolled out nice with a few bare spots and did a couple reroutes to start the season off. Enjoy.

Nothing groomed yet, but plenty of blazed trails across the course. Some grassy or twiggy spots throughout but easy to get around the worst of it. Well worth an hour of your time.

Got my new St. Paul /Ramsey Co. ski pass and headed over to Phalen to have a look. No signs of grooming yet, though several people were out breaking their own trails.

Drove by Wed evening and did not look like anything had been groomed yet. From what I could tell in the dark, looked like decent coverage and not many bare grassy spots from the wind. Did see that a couple folks blazed their own classic tracks.
