Very nice skiing. Both skate lane and tracks in very good shape. Groomed this morning. We skied most of the east side. People that skied the road on the west side were very positive about it. It was great.

10 out of 10. The grooming of these trails is on a whole other level. Classic track is well set but needs to be skied in a bit harder. My friends were skating and agreed it was the best skiing they have had all season. Some sections of trail are closed off for the season but a new section on Excelsior Rd has been opened and was spectacular.

Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Very good to excellent skating conditions, very good striding. Lots of fresh grooming performed on the skate deck Thursday evening. You'll find well groomed firm packed powder, a few trails with 1/2" of dry snow as a topping. Solid classic track set 3-6 days ago remains very functional. Wonderful mid winter conditions. About 90% of the trails are open, a small segment of the East Side trails are off limits due to logging, details available at the Blue Hills Trail website. Also note: for the first time we're allowed access to a 3 km trail ('Excelsior Road') on the West Side that is newly designated for multiuse with tracked ATVs using one side - it's a gravel road that's loads of fun to ski - that sharing experiment is working well.

Excellent skating and striding this past weekend. Packed powder with a firm wide skate deck, deep solid classic track with good pole plants. Some trails with an enjoyable 1/2" layer of dry snow leftover from Friday's snowfall.

Excellent skating and striding! Approximately 24" of snow since November 27 has been well groomed; many many hours spent grooming. Trails are wide, flat, firm; classic track is deep and firm, pole plants are solid. Peak mid winter conditions in mid December. What a treat. Visit the website for important details regarding new trails and a few trails to avoid due to logging.

Surprisingly good conditions. Most of the trails are open. A little soft in some areas but was easily able to stay on top of the snow.
Skied the core loop and "otter slide". They've been grooming everyday and continue to work the trails. Can only get better!
