Trail Reports

2020-2021 season
Reports 8 to 9 of 9    Month: Jan | Dec

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Light snowfall Monday evening and Tuesday morning deposited 1" of feathery powder on top of fresh grooming. Skiing Excelsior Road Monday afternoon (attached photo) was fantastic! Both 'Excelsior Road' (West Side) and the 'Gravel Road' (East Side of the trail system) have very good conditions. The rest of the trails have a thin base with an irregular surface, grassy and dirt spots - skiable but not nearly as much fun as the two 'roads'.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Skied the east side gravel road, it had been groomed, probably with a roller or compaction drag, and had a nicely set up skate deck. No other east side trails were groomed, but excelsior road going to the west side was groomed from the road, and looked great. No tracks yet, and probably B skis for the roads, rock skis if you head into the woods. Surprisingly good for the amount of snow.
