Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I groomed and tracked the interior trails including maple, balsam, Aspen, river, and spruce. I also tracked Sally's Classic trail. We had 4-5 fresh inches of fluffy snow that set great skate lanes and track. I skied many of the interior trails and they are still quite soft. At least there are some trails to ski for the rest of the weekend. We plan to be out grooming on Tuesday to finish the remainder of the trails.

Grooming

We have all the trails groomed for skate and all sections but white pine and the new trails tracked. Classic trail has been groomed but not tracked yet. We may set track on classic tomorrow. Conditions are excellent with a flat firm skate deck and perfect track.

Firsthand: Both

We skied classic and skated. The classic trails were in great shape, although the oak leaves kept you on your toes. The skate trail was solid and in great shape. First time on the Red Pine trail. What a view!

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate lane is freshly groomed, with excellent skating conditions. A few of our trails (Spruce, Oak, River) have classic tracks set on the opposite side due to the ski race held last Saturday. These tracks will be removed by the end of the week and reset to normal side flow by the weekend. Get out and enjoy!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
We skied the race today at After Hours and it was our first time there this year. Wow, the grooming was absolutely fantastic and the classic tracks held up incredibly well considering a race had taken place on them! The skate deck was in excellent shape too! The only part that will need attention is the "more difficult" cut off on the way in which you can skip by taking the easy route; lots of snow plowing led to some icy spots. If you have yet to visit After Hours, I highly recommend it!

Recently groomed and excellent conditions. Only a few icy areas on the fringe of the trail in low spots. Skate deck appeared to be a little soft but looked wonderful. Sally’s Classic Trail is a gem.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate lanes on all trails were freshly groomed this morning. Some small debris on trails (needles, twigs) in concentrated areas. Warm days and below-freezing nights have made skiing fast and a bit icy in the morning, turning softer in the afternoons, but still very good conditions overall! All trails are tracked, but no fresh classic tracks were set for the weekend.
