Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Fresh corduroy this morning on all the blue and green trails and some of the blacks. Very good conditions but softening a bit as the temp hit 32. No new classic tracks but they didn't need to be as the classic skiing remains excellent.

Fresh grooming this morning. As of 9:30 all the green and blue trails have fresh corduroy. Most of the blacks (Big Falls, Ruby's, Dipsy Deux) weren't re-groomed yet but still were in excellent condition. It looked like he was going to get to the blacks. Some new tracks were set this morning and both those and the ones "leftover" from yesterday are deep, clean, and fast and excellent for classic skiing or double-poling with your skating skis.

Fresh corduroy this morning made for an excellent skating deck on all trails. Most of the classic tracks were re-set, but there still are some high-glide/glare tracks out there, so waxing is either blue hard wax on the new or silver klister or skins on the old.

Skate deck was freshly groomed and looked about perfect. New tracks had not been set, but the groomer was still out there when we left, so maybe there are now. Tracks away from the chalet/lighted trails were good and fast.

The skating deck is firm and well skied-in, and getting a bit crusty/hard in places. Fast. The classic tracks are deep, clean, have a bit of a glaze, and are very fast.

As of 10:00 this morning almost all the trails had been groomed with fresh corduroy. Combine that with the light mist that was falling and the skating was nearly effortless. No new classic tracks had been set but the classic skiing was also effortless in tracks that had a slight glaze on the bottom and no debris in them.

The groomer was out this morning and went over most of the trails and set new, excellent corduroy. The hilly trails (Big Falls, Horseshoe, Ruby's) were not groomed today. Some new classic tracks were set. The existing tracks are icy and fast and without oak leaves.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
No new grooming of the 1" of snow that fell in the last 24 hours. Skaters have skied it in and made for a firm deck. The tracks were fast where skiers had used them, a bit slow where they hadn't been. Good control on the downhills but a bit more work going uphill after the temperature got over 32 degrees.

All the trails were groomed this morning. Overall conditions are very good. The skating deck is firm on the well-used trails near the chalet but gets softer the farther out you go. New classic tracks were set almost everywhere and they are very good.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The inch of new, moist snow over the sleet we had early this morning made for fast and controllable skating this morning. No new grooming but until the temp got to 34 and the new snow depth to 2", the skating was good, but slowing down after that. Classic skiers reported slow going in tracks filled with new snow.
