Grooming Scheduling [ Trails Open: All, ]

The skate deck on all of the trails was groomed. It had become pretty icy in spots. Track was reset in places where it had washed out. There is a big event at Willow tomorrow, noon–4:00. There will be snowshoe, ski, and fat bike demos, beer sampling, sledding, refreshments, and more. Admission is $5/person, under 18 free. If you plan to ski at Willow tomorrow, you may want to come in the morning to avoid the crowds. Or, come and ski and then stay for the fun.

Skied blue, green, yellow, purple, brown this morning. All were very firm, some of the downhills a bit icy due to snowplowing, but all in all were good and fast. Glad to be skiing at Willow River!

Skied, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, after the grooming Saturday night all the trails on Sunday, were firm, not icy, very fast and in the best condition, I can recall, in years. On some hills classic tracks on either side provide a narrow deck and make climbing more of a challenge. Many thanks to the volunteer groomers for your time and efforts, you do an amazing job!

My wife and I skied most all the trails this morning. She skated and I was classical. We skied from yellow, to orange, red loops, brown, purple, silver, pink, and blue. All were nicely tracked and the skating surface was firm and nicely corduroyed. This morning was one of those rare days when the snow and weather are cooperative. Nice work groomers! Thank you. Get out and enjoy the trails.

Classic skied Purple, everything groomed and tracked in good condition. Tracks were solid, very little debris. Back out to skate Nelson Farm trail to the falls, then back on the river trail to 300 campground then back to the falls and up to the entrance. Everything was nicely groomed, much firmer than yesterday. Trail narrowed down in several spots with tracks on either side making it a bit of a challenge on some climbs. Many thanks to the groomers at Willow River for keeping the trails in great shape.

We finished grooming and tracking this evening. Both the track and the skate deck look really good and should firm up well overnight. Get out before noon tomorrow, beat the crowds, to and enjoy some fine skiing.

Skied this morning (skate)...skied green and blue. After the snow over last few days, groomers hit it again Sunday. Skate deck was very good shape. Some of the best skiing I have seen at Willow. Flat deck and firm. Looked like the classic track was also reset. I believe we have a nice packed trail to withstand some warmer temps. Really appreciate the volunteer crew that grooms and maintains this trail system...such a jewel.
