Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Skated a tour of some inner loops and found conditions to be superb. Had one or a few skiers before us, but basically busting corduroy the whole way. I jumped into tracks here and there for a little double pole and found them firm and hard with pole plants solid. Looks like the outer trails are open, but just didn't have time to explore. Warmish weather makes for fun without frostbite.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The place is fully covered, beautifully groomed, and in excellent condition. Of note: Wolf Tracks is now, and I'm told will likely remain, open for skating as well as classical skiing.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Life is good at Minocqua Winter Park! I expected a beat up track after the weekend, but the groomer elves had been out and laid in a nice crisp track for classic which Mother Nature dusted with white powder to make for a magical ski. The longer trails are now open and the holiday season should be great. If you like peace and quiet for your ski, now's the time.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Groomers put in a lot of time rolling and grooming the 6 inches of new snow that fell yesterday. Most all of the interior trails are open with firm tracks set. Skate lanes nearest the tracks are nice and firm from being packed twice. All of the evergreen needles and small sticks have disappeared. Great skiing right now, but have to dress warm, was 4F above this afternoon.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Skied these trails Friday to Monday. Most of the interior trails are groomed and tracked. Lake Marie and River Run open but no tracks set yet. Wolftracks not yet open. When I left at noon today over 2 inches of fairly dense snow had fallen and covered the needles, cones, and small branches on the trail. Was snowing hard when I left. Base appears to be very good no dirt showing anywhere.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Good skis ]
Lake Marie now open for skating and, at least in tracks, I always had firm pole plants. The classic tracks are deep and firm and skate deck also firm.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Really getting pretty mid season. Not all trails are open as the longer loops require downed tree/branch clearing and the going is slow. The interior trails are mostly tracked and decked with an occasional punchy on the pole plants, but with lots of depth that can be dealt with and only bring smiles as to the way good early season treat under feet. Save time, shop online, and be part of the "Grand Opening" this weekend.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Most inner trails have been at least rolled, the main ones are groomed. A little on the soft side, especially the rolled only trails. Tracks not set yet but plans are to set some as early as tonight. I'd venture that 25k are skiable right now without much repeating. Many other trails should be open this weekend after clearing downed trees so grooming can expand.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
A good 15 k groomed out for skating. No classic yet, but the next snow could do it. Not that they lack snow, the last 12" set up nicely, but groomer ran out of time, electricity, fuel pump, and other early season fun snow bomb events. Kicked for an hour and am a better man for it. Firearm deer season for one more day, but no gunshots, sign of hunters, and of course blaze orange is the favorite color, along with bright reds, neons, and generally flashy woods apparel. Get thee North.

There are 9 miles of interior trails that are groomed. Conditions were soft in spots but overall very good.
