[ Good skis ]
Mighty fine with plenty of coverage. A few brown here and there in the skate deck seemed inconsistent with the depth and of no consequence. Should be a great holiday week, snow globe conditions as of now.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Trails are in excellent condition today! Groomers went out and freshened up almost all interior trails setting new classic tracks. Lake Marie and Wolf Tracks have been groomed for the first time this year! Skate decks are firm and classic tracks are full depth and crisp.

Excellent skating on the inner loops today. Surprising firm base considering the 9-10 inches is new. Tracks are set now also. Snow clinging to the trees is very pretty.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
We've got snow! 8-10" fell overnight which meant the groomers were busy rolling and packing in all that lovely snow. Groomers did some finish grooming on Base Loop, Tornado Alley, Survivor, Nosedive, and the Cookie Loop. But the warm snow temperatures prevented us from setting classic tracks. There were lots of trees leaning/fallen over the trail so grooming has been a bit of a slow process. Please be patient and expect trails that were tilled to be soft and sticky today.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Skated the Cookie loop and Base loop today. Still suggesting rock skis, too many opportunities for hitting something under the snow. Bumpy, uneven, patches of forest litter, all what you would expect from low snow conditions, but that being said, still really good skiing. Well worth coming out.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
All interior trails are packed and rolled following Thursday's snowfall. However, there's not quite enough snow to set classic tracks. Snow depth on trails ranges from 1-3" of packed in snow. There's some thin and bumpy spots scattered throughout but there are two 5km loops that are skiing very well! The Cookie Loop (Silver Strider to XC Express to Nepco's Cruise to Silver Strider) and the West Loop (Base Loop to Tornado Alley to Survivor to Nosedive (backwards) to Base Loop). Groomers were out touching up the skate decks this morning! It's shaping up to be a great weekend of skiing.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Skated today. Skied Cookie and Base loops. For the low snow conditions skiing is quite good. Bumpy, forest litter, thin spots, etc. Everything you would expect with low snow. That being said, it still skied quite nice. I suggest rock skis for now, though I don't think I hit anything to add any new "structure", but with all the debris and thin spots, not using rock skis is risky. It was great for my first time this season.

I went out on Base Loop -> Tornado Alley -> Survivor -> Nose Dive -> Base Loop-> Chalet. The snow conditions this side were good with very few bare spots. Base was firm and there was some bumpiness with current snow levels. I avoided the other trails as they are in the pines and likely need more snow. Great option if you don't have time to travel north.

Enjoyable ski on the inner, rolled trails. Not deep enough to get bogged down but enough not to bottom out. I wore a yellow vest for opening day of the gun hunt. Saw human tracks but no other humans. It was worth it.
