All trails are groomed for classic and skating. Conditions are very good and ready for you to stop in your way home from Hayward. Good luck Birkie racers!

The Pisten Bully was out most of the day tilling and grooming. The base is very hard but we have some good skiing available. The following trails were groomed today (skate deck and tracks): Lighted Trail, Short Loop, Alternate Trail, and Cervenka's Curl. Plans are to continue grooming tomorrow.

We received about an inch of rain yesterday - but our deep snow base is intact and the temperature is dropping. We did get a dusting of new snow at the end of the storm. We attempted some grooming today, but we found it too soft to continue. So we are waiting for it to freeze/drain and will be back out when we can. I skied what was groomed today and several kilometers that wasn't groomed. All was very skiable. I didn't sink down much on the skis, but soft pole plants showed how soft the base is. It is in the process of freezing.

Trails were a bit on the icy side early in the morning with all the freeze / thaw weather, but were still skiable. By mid-morning the snow was softening fairly quickly and I expected it to continue to soften throughout the day. There was some tree debris starting to accumulate on a few sections of the trail, but nothing that could not be skied around relatively easily.

Plenty of base. Trails very hard packed, nearly icy and difficult to catch an edge. Small section of trail looked very recently groomed and fabulous on this 25 deg. bluebird day. Hope they can do more for tomorrow.

Trails continue to be in very good condition. It's getting a bit sticky in the sun today, but the base remains firm. There was a light coating of fresh snow earlier in the week that we left for now. I enjoyed skating mid-day today, and the classic skiers I saw seemed happy with the tracks.

It was a beautiful day for skiing and the classic track and skate deck were in very good condition. There was some debris but not enough to cause a problem. This is a gem of a trail which is entirely in the woods with some very challenging hills. Thanks to the groomers and other volunteers that make it happen.

It's a cold one today - but the forecast and conditions look great for the weekend on the entire trail system. The base has gotten quite firm during the cold snap. Today we re-groomed the skate deck on the Alternate Trail and Short Loop.

It was a nice break from the arctic air this afternoon with temps in the low teens. I skied almost the entire trail system this afternoon, over 30 K total. I would rate the conditions as excellent. A few sections are a little beat up, but most is still corduroy. The tracks are in good shape too.

After a few inches of fluffy snow, all trails were groomed on Friday for classic and skating. Expect good conditions for the weekend, just plan on dressing for the weather.
