Trail Reports

2021-2022 season
Reports 11 to 19 of 19    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Out on the Boundary Road Trails today, we found the parking lot full again! Nice problem to have and glad to see so many folks out using them. That was our goal. We did get work done to the drag over the weekend and got the tow machine into a warm shed and melted off. This week, we'll not be grooming until sufficient snow falls. All trails including the single track are firm from grooming and use, with a little fresh fluff on top. Excellent conditions!

Trails were groomed with the drag this morning and really looked nice. More folks are out today thanks to a nice calm and almost sunny day.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
This morning, we skied parts of both the groomed and back country trails. Then this afternoon got back out to roll down the snow that fell since last grooming yesterday at dusk. For a chilly breezy day, it was quite pleasant in the woods.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Was out there this morning to freshen the trails up. Not much new snow, but the trails had been used enough to need it. The back country, river edge trail has seen lots of traffic so is well packed.

Boundary Road Trail is short groomed area along some forest roads off Hwy 41 a few miles south of Hancock. It was freshly rolled. We also skied on a hike/bike trail connected to the groomed loop, a decent short backcountry run. 10 degree temps were a bit chilly, but there was very little wind.
