2022-2023 season
Reports 11 to 20 of 66    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skated two slow laps around 3:30 pm. Still plenty of cover and great grooming but snow was pretty soft and sticky by the time I got out. Will probably be real good if you can time the thaw. All said, great to have natural snow in March!

Groomed the skate deck and classic track. Icy spots throughout, but overall still in good shape. Set the last PR's for the season!

The rain gave us a licking, but we're still ticking! There are a few wet low-lying areas, but overall the trail groomed up well, with a new skate deck and classic track. Hoping for some fresh snow tonight to refresh the current base, enjoy!

Skate deck was skiable and mostly firm, but not great. Looks like a lot of people went skiing this weekend and I got the end of it. For the classic skiers, the outside track looked pretty good, but the inside track disappeared at times, probably because the skate deck was narrow in places so people skied over the inner track.

Tracks are holding up pretty well. Some ice under the fluff, but overall good coverage. Skate deck looked OK, but not many skaters out so far today. Plenty of folks using the classic tracks.

Beautifully groomed - great snow. The skate deck is a bit soft, but should firm-up as more people ski. Nice to have the snow again!

Good morning from Highland National Cross Country ski trail. The classic and skate deck were both groomed this morning.. Lots of snow out there. Groomed up fairly well but may be soft until it sets up. Cross country skiing is back! Cheers folks.

The groomer had been around to pack the trail, but there were no tracks. It's possible to classic ski if you make your own track. I think skating would also be possible, but not that easy. Lots of snow, including drifting. Conditions will certainly improve in the coming days.

26 degrees this morning at 18 Highland National golf course cross country ski trail. Conditions are softening and the grooming was decent on both classic and skate. Very minor reroute in some areas but overall good. After today? Who knows so get out and enjoy!
