We groomed all 75 km again yesterday after the new 6 inches of snow and today the skiers enjoyed the trails and the sun and scenery. All 3 warming cabins along the trail were open and had fires going.

We had a great day of skiing today. Firm cold powder tracks, skate lanes firm but not icy. I will be taking out the smaller Pisten Bully in the early morning to touch up some of the heavier used trails. Looks like a great MLK weekend of skiing coming up with above zero temps!

The best. ABR has it all. Snow, grooming, great people and a "UP" vibe. A classic on the outer loops, plus a bit of misdirection gave a pleasing 2+ hour ski. Plan for the best.

As usual, perfect grooming. Skied at ABR yesterday morning classic on both mixed and classic only trails, it was great but it was drizzling at that time and downhills were, as Buggs Bunny said "kind of exciting, ain't they Doc?". Back today and all were groomed again since the rain. The trails were absolutely perfect. We skied Tamarack, wolf tracks then over to Jack Pine and White pine. Windy Ridge Area was closed today. Fast glide but very controllable on downhills. Thanks Eric and Team.

Glazed with a coating of fresh snow. Excellent grooming and deep base. Slight drizzle glazed the trails then gave way to light snow early this afternoon. Mike Fauerbach passed away at the Sisu ski race Saturday, and several skiers who had seen him Saturday skied with his son to the site where he passed, then took a quiet tour on the ABR trails.

600+ SISU Ski Fest racers enjoyed todays skiing. Recreational day skiers enjoyed the conditions as well. Groomers are heading out again in the early morning. We have been experiencing excellent conditions with over 5 feet of snowfall since mid December. We opened mid November.

What a great day, groomed in the Pisten Bully from 6 AM - 4 PM. The ABR Trails and SISU Trail are looking great. The team groomed 95 km today including the SISU Trail. Four inches of cold dense powder might not have been the best glide but it is authentic January, organic snow (no chemicals, additives and all natural) from the sky.... and it groomed up well. We received another 2 inches (with wind) during the day so of course we will go out and regroom 75 km in the early morning. We will groom Windy Ridge for classic for Thursday through Saturday or Sunday. Looks like the best snow /weather conditions for SISU in 10 years. For recreational non SISU racers we are open as normal Friday and Sunday. SISU Saturday we will have 50 km of classic open and 5 k of skate open from 9-dark. The race course combination trails will open at about 12:30. Normally SISU Saturday afternoon is one of the quietest ski days of the season.

Boy...hate to sound like the broken record but we have been having some very consistent excellent skiing conditions and mild temps in the hi 20's. Pisten Bullied groomed the old ABR last night and headed south to the Highlands with the PB this morning. The trails are well covered and skiing well. Looks like a good weekend coming up for the SISU Ski Fest.

Another good day at ABR, and there have been many this year. Skied out Tamarack Two track into Otter Slide, Wolf Track, and back in. While the outer loops were marked somewhat bumpy and not as well groomed as the inner, it was not unbearable, and the scenery was great. Conquered the world famous "Wall" using my World Cup flying herringbone and hardly broke a sweat. Must be coming into form for the SISU race next weekend. All good in the UP.

It has been great skiing and pretty easy grooming now since we are in the Pisten bully. The mild temps are perfect for skiing and the snow is staying cold dry powder. Just coming in from the night groom shift with the Pb, four of us heading back out in a few hours to finish grooming.
