Beautiful trails today, skate deck nice and even. The tracks are gloriously fast making for fun downhills. Ridge runner was my favorite today because the grooming is a day or so old without too much wear and tear and is set beautifully.

Skated virgin corduroy in the morning. Perfect fast and edgeable snow. Classic skied on skins in the afternoon in deep tracks, they were glazed in places but skins kicked well most places.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We had a full groomer crew out early this morning. Between last night and this morning we groomed 75 km for skiing today. Grooming plans: Both Pisten Bullies are heading out early in the morning as the temps are now dropping. Two snowmobile groomers are heading out to regroom classic only also. The good news is we did not receive any rain! With over 9 feet of snowfall to date I am pretty sure we will have a good winter.

Beautiful day with tons of snow on the trees. ABR got 30 inches of snow on Christmas and it showed along the trails. The grooming efforts by the crew there made trail conditions excellent.

Classic skied about 40 km today. Knocked 12 minutes off my PB. Conditions were fabulous, fast, fun and gorgeous. Tracks were deep, firm, grippy, with excellent glide. Hill climbs were doable either in the tracks or herringboning a firm skate deck that had just enough give to make the hills a breeze. Downhill descents were fun, controlled, and well groomed. There was a good amount to happy faces skiing today, but I was able to ski hard and feel alone with the beauty of the trails. Just a picture perfect day. Can't wait to do it again!

A great day at ABR. So...much...snow! Great job by the groomers, who have been doing their best to pack down as much as possible. Main trails (e.g., River trail) are the best, with nary a pine needle in sight. Classic and skate skied most of the northern trails, and while there were other folks enjoying the trails, we almost always felt we had the place to ourselves. Tracks were deep, as was the snow on the edges. A real winter wonderland worth the trip!

Merry Christmas. The best choice I made this season was to buy a seasons pass here. Well over 320 km of perfectly groomed skiing before Christmas. That's a first for me. This morning I was met by two Piston Bullies and a snowmobile groomer as I arrived. Classic skied about 36 km today. Conditions are fabulous! Everything I skied was freshly groomed. Deep tracks, firm, good glide with swix green, ample kick to stay in the tracks up most every hill. Skate deck is firm soft. Just perfect. Today I stayed out of the Highlands and thoroughly enjoyed everything! Thank you groomers.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received about 26-28 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. We had four groomers including one of the Pisten Bullies out for 4-5 hours this morning. Most of the classic only trails got 2-4 passes throughout the morning. I ran the Bully on the main trails to most of the trail side cabins and houses and groomed about 15 km twice or more. Grooming plans: The snow continues and 2-3 groomers will be back out in the morning, the trails open at 9 am. Merry Christmas.

Crasher and Pig Heart headed out and groomed the Highlands, Ridge runner, Tamarack and Deer Trail this morning at 7. Delayed start with cold temps. Great skiing, the high temp was zero today. Grooming plans: We have 6 groomers heading out at 6 am tomorrow and plan to regroom all 101 km again tomorrow.
