Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Poor conditions at Blueberry. There are constant ruts in the skate lane on every trail. Classic tracks are sugary and basically non-existent. Trail desperately needs a good grooming. The sun and warm weather was not really effecting the trails today. No new snow in a while, so trails are also very dirty. Definitely use B skis because you will be skiing over millions of pine needles and twigs.

Skied Wolverine loop. The condition was fair. Looks like it was rolled Monday(?) but no track set. Needs grooming.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
6-8 inches of heavy wet snow and still snowing hard. There is a large tree down covering half of the trail on the Lighted Loop. Also many sticks on the trail from the wind and heavy snow. Blueberry looked like a snow globe. Trails were being rolled while we were skiing. Once the trails set up, it should be excellent skiing this week throughout Marquette County. Lighted Loop lights were also on this evening!

Night
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Wolverine and Lighted Loop are very nice for skating. Base is 0-2 inches, but the trail is nicely evened out. There was about a half inch of new snow, so it wasn't icy. Not much of a classic track at all.

Pretty incredible skiing at Blueberry this morning. The foot of snow we got in the past 24 hours was groomed in perfectly. Classic only trails were double tracked, Wolverine and Lighted Loops were also tracked. Skate lane on Wolverine and Lighted Loop was nice and hard and flattened out. The groomers were working on Superior and Wildcat Loops while I was skiing. Superior was soft and I didn't ski on Wildcat. However, they should set up nicely in the next couple of days. There is plenty of snow that I used my race skis. I just cannot believe these early season conditions!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
2-3 more inches of snow on the trails. Trails still pretty uneven and squirrely, but snow is relatively fast and hard packed. Hoping for more this week!

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Very sticky snow this morning. Temps have been in the mid 30s the past 24 hours. Trails are very dirty as well with lots of pine needles down. When trails freeze again they should be very fast. Trails are fully covered, but more snow is needed.
