Good trail conditions, fast and very firm skate lane. It's not icy like it was last weekend, but hills are still challenging. Lilly's loop beginner run is fine.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Good skiing again! All trails were groomed again today, including the classic tracks. Skate lane is firm but reasonably good. As usual, the trails will likely set up and get pretty speedy in a day or two. Snow depth remains at about a foot, with a packed 6" base. There are a few twigs, leaves, needles around, hence the B ski recommendation. Classic tracks are mostly clean, though.

Firsthand: Freestyle Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Update: Tomorrow's open house is cancelled. These will resume when we get more snow. Trails are icy and crusty. Lilly's is still ok for beginners, but all other trails should just be taken by advanced skiers who are in control on icy hills.

Conditions remain fair and fairly icy on all trails. Skate lane was groomed Thursday evening, and best described as fluffy ice, as it set up again by Friday. Classic lane has not been groomed but is really solid, and has just a bit of new snow on it. So kick is ok, but all downhills in skate and classic lane are really fast and icy. We have had some freezing drizzle overnight, sidewalks and roads are slippery, so I can't imagine it will improve. Recommend beginner-intermediate skiers just stay on Lillys Loop (easy) if you come out this weekend, or walk the hills if you feel uncomfortable. Snowshoe trail is also open for snowshoes or hok skis, and this is in good shape, no hills. MN ski pass required, including during open house Sunday 1-3:30, which will happen unless it seems just too icy.

Conditions are fair and variable due to some icing after the two warm days. Skate lane was groomed last night, but set up with an icy crust on some parts of Eagle, mostly the hills on the SE portion, as usual. Lily's is good, and beginners will have a good time on this. Classic skied yesterday and it was nice, although the lanes are a bit icy in spots now and there is some debris in spots also. Didn't ski Troll, but it looked ok. Some of the hills are likely icy. Open house Sunday 1-3 PM. Snowshoe trail has been packed, 3/4 mile back in the woods and around some ponds, really nice.

Excellent condition for skating and classic, all trails have been groomed after the 14" plus snowfall last weekend. We had another 2" new, so fresh snow is on the skate lane, but the classic track has been skied and looks good. Open house begins this Sunday from 1-3 PM, with skis available for use. MN Ski pass required. So nice to be open for the season, please join us and have fun!

Freshly groomed, soft classic tracks but deep set. Beautiful trees with snow. Some twigs showing up, been more snow of course, but a great ski.
