Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Everything is groomed with skating deck and one set of classic tracks. Finland and upper lit trail is still closed because of drifting. The Birkie hill drifted but was able to set a track in it.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
About half the trails are groomed for skate and classic. By the time I got to the trails today it had warmed enough so the snow was very wet and soft. Skied only a few K because of how slow the skis were in the wet snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Newly groomed. Skate deck firmness varied quite a bit, firm to a softer 2-3 inches. Some drifting, but minimal as of this afternoon. Finland not groomed, as well as the main trail from the east junction with the lower shortcut to the upper junction with same. Presumably this means Deep Woods is also not groomed. Chuckwagon shortcut also not groomed. Classic tracks look to be in good shape, and were fine in the sections I double-poled.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Since our last snowstorms the groomer has been out knocking down the multiple snow falls. About half the trails have been groomed for both skate and classic. Most of the skate deck was very good with a short soft section. The classic section look to have groomed up very well.

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
The trail system was freshly groomed, except for Finland. Very nice conditions, though the skate deck was soft in most places. The classic tracks looked to be in excellent condition.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Skate deck continues to have somewhat mixed conditions, glazed (or a little icy) or sugary powder. Some rough patches where skate marks have frozen. Overall skating is good. Classical tracks look to be in good shape, and are fast due to glazing – at least when we double poled. Finland remains un-groomed as is the upper "lit" trail.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Skate deck is firm with mixed conditions. Where the sun melt occurred yesterday the trail was glazed. In other places I found a sugary veneer that made for fast skiing. A few tricky spots given the glazing, and some of the glazed areas appear quite quickly as one flies downhill. Where there had been substantial traffic yesterday, the deck can be rutted as the skate marks were frozen-in. All-in-all good skiing. These conditions were from 10 am (22F) until about noon.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We started skiing mid-afternoon with temperatures of 31-32F. Not surprisingly the sun exposed trail sections of the skate deck, newly groomed, were slow – not terribly but definitely sub-optimal. Many of the shaded sections skied nicely. Finland was not groomed, hence the "most" for the "trails open" section of this report. Did some double poling in the tracks which were in good shape. A final note, if arriving at the venue from the west, the dirt roads are quite muddy, rutted, and slippery.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Grooming went well. All trails have a skating deck and a set of classic tracks. Upper lit trail and Finland is ungroomed due to drifting.

Trails groomed up very well this morning. I'm sure the skate deck will be soft for some skiers but the track setter set a perfect classic track. All trails are groomed with the exception of finland and the upper lit trail. There are some 4 ft drifts on parts of those trails. Enjoy.
