A handful of us skied all the trails (North and South). I was on classic, others skated. Overall it was excellent. About 1" to 2" of new powder over the existing firm base made for good kick, good glide and manageable downhills. It appeared that the trails were recently groomed under the new powder. You could see fresh corduroy underneath. The only comment might be that pole plant on the classic track (outside edge) was often soft with no base under it. There is a lot of snow out there and the edge is pretty soft.

Classic tracks were icy. Very fast downhills! My eyes watered on some of them and I wear glasses. Tough going uphill in the tracks. Did some assents and descents in the skating track. Made for a workout. Also, poles were going through on the right hand side. Still, nice being out there.

Another beautiful ski in the woods and past the lakes. An inch of moist snow filled in the tracks and caused my kick zone to ice up. Not complaining because I needed the extra kick and the tracks were safe to ride down in. Good surface on the skate deck. The parking lot was full with fat bikers, snowshoes, and skiers.
