Trail Reports

2020-2021 season

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Did two runs up and down Onion River Road on skate B skis. Had to dodge a few gravel spots and pole plants would hit gravel sometimes. But I did no damage to my skis, and was able to maintain a steady pace up and down. Tracks from the 2K mark were good and I did some double poling in them. Just one or two places where gravel showed thru briefly. It was great to be on natural snow after 200+K of the manufactured stuff in the Cities. It is a whole different experience! North Shore skiing has begun!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Only snow on Onion River Rd. First k has a few rocks and bare ground. But the rest was pretty decent. About 2-3 inch base but good enough to skate on some rock skis.
