Just a tremendous ski. They groomed in the new snow last night and the cold temps made for a firm classic track. Grooming was perfect, the picnic loop was outstanding. It really does not get better than this.

Skied Picnic and Homestead from Oberg trailhead. A light dusting of snow made the grip and kick even better in the tracks. Grooming continues to hold up and remains excellent. The only issue is skiing the fast downhill thru the Moose tracks on the way down from the highpoint. It was a little bumpy. No real problem if you know it is coming. Be back after the next snowfall!

First time out on Sugarbush. Massive amounts of snow base and beautiful trails set everywhere. It was Cold (0F) and the snow was very slow from the deep cold overnight (-20). We worked hard to move skating, classic would've been faster. The tracks were wicked fast. Everything seemed to loosen up and speed up as the sun came up. Only issue was part way around on the Black part of the Picnic Loop, some moose decided to try skiing themselves and pounded holes into the skate deck. Easy to ski around but could be treacherous if you caught a tip in a hole. Still was snow all the way down.

Skied from Briton Peak trailhead around Picnic, east Oberg and back via the Homestead Loop. Grooming over the entire system was immaculate except for a few K on the picnic loop where Moose had a party. Tracks firm, glide good even in the cold. So pretty out there with all the snow we have had this season.

Skied the picnic loop. Beautiful grooming and a moose like it too. The cold weather has made the tracks firm. So grateful for the dedicated groomers after last week's storm.

Wonderful conditions at Sugarbush. Skied from Briton Peak trailhead around Hogback and Homestead and then a few times around the Bridge Loop on the way back. In spite of all the new snow, the deck and the tracks were firm. Glide in the track was good considering below zero temps and skaters were passing me so that glide looked good too. Firm pole plants on both sides. All so much better than I expected and will be back tomorrow for the Picnic loop.

Started from Oberg parking lot and went north then east on the Oberg loop. Lots of fresh snow and was ungroomed as of Friday afternoon. Trudged through it with four people switching who was in front. Beautiful forests and views. It was hard to hear the snowmobiles crossing with how loud the wind was.

Wonderful conditions holding up through the morning. Middle skating lane was packed multiple times and running faster than classic for me. Thank you groomer and volunteers for these great trails.

Skied the whole picnic loop and a couple connecting loops. Freshly groomed with just a dusting on top after what looks like roughly 8" of fresh snow. Beautiful day and excellent conditions. The skate deck was a little soft in places due to the volume of new snow, but should firm up with time. Classic track had also been set everywhere. A good time for a trip up the shore!

The classic tracks were dreamy this morning at 8 AM. I skied about 10 km of classic, including the Homestead Loop. I saw one or two spots where there was a little dirt or pine needles, but the tracks and skating decks were some of the nicest I've skied on this winter. The weather was warm (33F). This was my first time skiing these trails, and it won't be the last. Parked at the Britton Mountain trailhead.
