Temps were 32-34 degrees on the Onion river road and the Oberg Loop while I skate skied between 11-12:30. Recent 3-4 inches of fluff snow was all groomed that morning. Fabulous ski, with sunshine and zero wind! I did not see another skier! So fun for this beginner skater.

We skied Wood Duck Loop, Piece of Cake Loop, Bridge Run, segment J to K to L, and Homestead Loop. The trails were freshly groomed. The snow was softening in the sun, but was holding up well. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We noticed the classic tracks looked fantastic too. Thank you Sugarbush Trail Association for one of the best days of this winter.

As good as it gets. Perfect temps (high teens), great base, tracks were excellent, and the snow was relatively fresh and fast (for me). No icy patches or tracks covered with drifting snow. We started at Onion River parking lot. My wife skied the L,M, X, W part of the Oberg loop. I split off from her at X and skied the Y, W parts as well.

Morning ski out of the Moose Fence Trailhead. Temp was -7 and I was the only car in the small lot. First time skiing this trail. Didn't quite make it to the Upland loop. Tracks were freshly set. Long gradual up and down hills. Did a sunset ski out of Britton Peak (just the first little green loop (had my 8 y/o with). Tracks also freshly tracked and perfect. We went on the trail to the right out of the parking lot and came back on the loop. It was a nice gradual downhill into the lot that my daughter was thrilled with.

Windy with trails blown over in places but set classic tracks on the green loop we did out of the onion river parking lot. Beautiful ski on a cold January day. Glad to be up skiing this beautiful trail.

A slight dusting of snow early afternoon. Tracks had solid walls and no blow-outs. Skate lane hard packed. A perfect day on the trails. Thank you groomers!

Great conditions for skating today. Skied from Briton Peak around Picnic, Oberg, returning via connector and Homestead. Firm deck, good glide, plenty of cord left even after the weekend of skiing traffic.

The groomers did an excellent job after the last snowfall. The classic track was firm with fast, long glides everywhere I skied. I did Oberg Loop, then up to N on Picnic Loop and back to M and L. I did about 2k out toward K which was also great.

My first time at Sugarbush. Trails were amazing, as if set in concrete and perfect for classic skiing (skate deck looked excellent, too). Skied the Oberg Loop and from L-to-K toward the Homestead Loop. Long, generally gentle hills except for the formidable drop at the end of Oberg plus plenty of gently sloping runs for kick-and-glide. Big country with lots of maple forest, sections of black spruce and mixed balsam fir and poplar. Fun to ski in the "shadow" of Leveaux Mountain with Britton Peak in the distance. Friendly folks along the way made it a joy. On your return down Onion River Rd. by car take your time and go slow. The road is icy and steep in spots.

31° at start. Apparently it stayed cold enough to avoid most of the rain. I broke trail in 4" of fresh snow. I only went out to 2k on Onion River road because it started clumping on kick zone. Return was good. The good news is, there is 4 inches of fresh snow, not ice, so once they groom it should be good again.
