Had a great day grooming yesterday, the hoar frost was spectacular! Met some skiers out there too - thanks for all the positive feedback. I really enjoy grooming and I'm glad you're having a great time skiing!

Amazing conditions out on the trail! The 10-12 new inches of snow over the weekend have been groomed and tracks are set on all sections of the trail. Main parking lot is plowed out. Beautiful view from the scenic overlook.

Grooming

New Track set on entire system. Conditions are wonderful and are only going to get better with a little more snow to cover up the little bit of debris from this windy week. Parking lot was full of action as we were leaving with people taking advantage of the fresh tracks.

Picked up a bunch of sticks after some strong winds earlier today, including some of the remote parts of Big Aspen. There's a thin fresh layer since last grooming, but the track is skied-in and firm throughout. Likewise, pole planting is getting close to optimal, certainly firmer than 4 days ago. Everything is groomed and tracked, including the fabled Swamp Loop between points 13-14 in the northernmost reaches of this extensive and beautiful system.

Perfect. The trail had received two inches of snow after the last grooming, but most segments have been skied in. Tracks are firm and fast. Most trails look barely touched. All classic track and very little traffic. I'm planning to return soon to take advantage of the conditions.

Sublime! One could ski your whole life and never encounter conditions or place that would exceed what was served at Big Aspen today.
