Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Breezy blue skies, changing from sunshine to snow flurries and back again. Skiing on fresh corduroy snow. It looks like winter wonderland, but it's Spring skiing at its finest. Breathe in deeply and count to Zen.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
B,D, C, Y and W combed with the Ginsu. Fast and fairly flat deck. Some pine and fir needle debris in woods, nothing hazardous to skiers but I do recommend B skis. Tracks are still intact and some were freshly set. John informed me that they would be grooming tomorrow too. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some awesome trails, great, speedy Spring skiing and come on over or up to Valley Spur this weekend. I guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face that will last a good long time.

Dan went over the skate lanes on the core trails this morning. Skied up Heaven and around Y and W. Some good Spring skiing left as base is 3 feet plus. Come early morning or late.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails are now open after the Big Blast last weekend and in nice shape. Some really crazy drifting in spots where we don't normally see drifting so expect some wild slope to the trail in some areas. Mostly on D and G but some on H and B also. We have spent many hours removing trees and limbs and branches hanging on and over the trails so please forgive us if we missed a few. As our base deepens it grows up into the trees.

Grooming

Mother Nature really dropped one on us this time! Snow, rain, more wet snow then single digit temps with 55mph wind gusts and more snow. If you like storms this was as good as it gets! We cleared, rolled and set track on A, B, D and down skaters heaven today and we will be back at it tomorrow. Lots of limbs and twigs and a few trees down with a lot of low hanging branches. We should have all trails cleared tomorrow but there will still be a fair amount of smaller debris till we get more snow.

Beautiful day out there, but super soft conditions. So much snow that the trails feel like a luge course.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We have gotten around 16 inches of fresh snow in the last couple days. It took 2 full days to get all segments done but we finished today around 3:30. Trails are a bit soft right now but we will be working them over pretty hard the next couple days and they should tighten up pretty quick. We love our snow but this month has been a little ridiculous!

Another 6 inches of fresh, cold snow last night. 7 degrees this morning. Rolled and set track on all trails today. Beautiful classic tracks. Cold temps will firm the skate deck pretty quickly. Will be grooming again in the morning.

16" of snow were received late last week. The trails were groomed and tracked on Friday and then again on Sunday morning. Conditions don't get any better than this! We brought our youth team of 13 skiers and 15 adults to train and enjoy the ski and snow shoe trails. Everyone had a fantastic time! Recommend that everyone make at least one trip to Valley Spur before this season concludes!

Great classic skiing this morning. Dan was combing out the skate lanes which came out well. The snowshoe trail was packed by the 10 a.m. Ladies group. A lot of snow still on the trees, so come see fantastic scenery.
