Mike reported to me that he was grooming this morning. He made multiple passes of Brown and Beginner Loop skate decks. Those are in the best shape. He also groomed the outer loops and reported that they are marginal as there are a number of gray ice spots. Our youth team will be conducting its last practice tonight, but will be staying on the Brown and Beginner Loops.

I was at Greenbush a little after 9 am this morning and began my ski at the picnic area. I hadn't progressed too far down the trail when I realized it wasn't safe for me to ski. The trail was covered with snow but it was hard and I was unable to get an edge on my skate skis. I double poled for the majority of my time. There were icy spots in the short section I was on but it was mainly hard snow. I drove down to the group camping parking lot to see how it was there. It was pretty much the same as the picnic area. It might have been skiable for me if I had hit the sweet spot where the snow gets warm enough and starts to soften-up. I didn't today. My car thermometer said it was 35 degrees.

Snow cover remains very good on Greenbush ski trails although the warm sun is causing some loss in the usual hot spots. Skating was slow and sticky on climbs. The classic track is glazed and fast for the most part with some areas of slush.

I skied the green, most of the purple and a bit of the red this morning. The trails were freshly groomed with complete coverage. The skate deck was soft but not slushy. The only spot that looked like it may have been thin was on the green trail, at the power line. It appeared to have been patched with snow. The classic track appeared to have been freshly groomed; it was generally in good condition. Thanks again groomers for a job well done.

All loops were groomed and new classic track was set this morning. The windfall across the red loop was also removed. I skated all loops this morning. With sunshine and temps above freezing the snow warmed up quickly. As I was finishing the skate deck was getting sticky and will likely get softer this afternoon. I used the track for most downhills and for double poling on the flat areas. The track was faster than the skate deck for the most part.

Skated all loops this morning. The timely grooming of skate decks last evening has provided the best skiing of the season. Think magic carpet ride. The classic track has been worked over a bit and will need to be re set this evening. There is a tree down across the first portion of the red loop.

Winter has returned, arrived actually, to Greenbush, USA. I skied all trails this morning. It's the best classic track of this ski season. The skate decks are soft but coverage throughout is excellent.

Skied the brown trail, and parts of the red, green, and purple trails. All trails freshly groomed and tracked. Greenbush got about 4-5" snow. Skate deck is very soft and spongy. Very little debris on the trails. Slow conditions.
