Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We were blessed with 3" of fresh powder. I groomed and set track on all loops except the black. No debri on the entire system... even in the pines. Bring your good skis, and please make a donation for our grooming operations while you are here. Thank you and enjoy!

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
More snow was falling as I skied Greenbush this afternoon. Almost full coverage on the trails. The major trail problem was ruts caused by a heavy vehicle that drove on quite a few of the trails. The groomers did an admirable job trying to smooth out the ruts but some remained. This has been a reoccurring problem at Greenbush the past few years. I know I am preaching to the choir, but please call the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department if you see this happening.

Skied purple loop with good skis...they made it, but would have been better with B skis. Thin spots and some exposed ground in and after the pines area. Still a great ski for me.

Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
The new snow with more falling when I arrived at Greenbush early this morning, made for a delightful ski. If you ski enough, you learn to recognize when you seem to be kicking and gliding through the forest with a grateful and happy spirit, and today's ski was one of those one of those experiences. I had to make myself quit and go home for lunch. I skied all trails except Pink and there is starting to be good coverage. Jeff was out leveling and grooming all morning. Still not enough for classic track. For classic skiers, the Black Trail was special today. It was nice to see some long-time friends out there with smiles on their faces, as well.

Awesome ski today! At least 2" of new snow that was being groomed by Jeff Welsch as I skied! No classic track set yet. Beautiful day in the woods!

It looks like at least 2" of new snow since yesterday. I skied all of the colored loops and could have used good skis on all loops except for the second half of the green loop. Head groomer Jeff W was out working the trails all morning. He used our improvised drag to even out the skate deck before packing. Skiing was a little slow as expected with fresh wind driven snow but really the best ski of the year with silent skis under foot and snow falling all morning.

About 2 inches new dry powder snow. Base thin but no bare spots. Rare gravel pebble on Brown loop, none seen on Purple. Grooming underway as I left. He passed once, was not laying classic track then.

Some of the trails were rolled Sunday and base adherence is good. Expect some rocks with some skied in tracks. It wasn't awful. Nice hoarfrost.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Rolled parts of the red, green, purple and beginner loop. It's pretty ugly, only for the hardiest of skiers. Not skatable, but you probably can get by with classic.

Observation
Less than 1" of hard, crusty snow covers the trails. Some footprints and ruts. No real base; just frozen ground. We'll need moew snow before the groomers can work their magic.
