As reported by the Iron County Forestry Dept: The Krankkala spur is probably not passable after this past weeks warm temps. Tracks have also not been set since the warm up. Grooming and tracks may be set tomorrow or else Thursday.

Skied from Weber lake/whitecap ski resort to Hoyt Rd. New signs and trail well marked the entire way. The trail had been packed down but not groomed well. Beautiful scenery. One if my favorite ski trails in the Midwest. The trail is steep and challenging in places. If fast snow and poor grooming I suggest taking off skis for steep sections. Several rustic shelters along way to stop at. Bring food and water. It was a 4 hr ski.

Report via Iron County Forestry and Parks Department Facebook: Tough trip through paradise. Packing 30"+ with gator. Trails closed as of now while we continue to work on it.
