Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions for skate and stride. The grooming firmed up yesterday's corn snow while retaining a shallow surface layer of fine snow, providing great glide and edging. If you are looking for stiff corduroy, the Playground is for you. The climb up Tail End is still problematic, with the surface snow scraped off in places, exposing the icy base. Magic Carpet was delightful. Tracks are solid and fast.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The Piston Bully was out at night grooming the man made loops. The skate deck was tilled and is in great condition. New classic tracks were set and are in good condition. Full depth with a firm base. Snowmaking will fire up again this week. There will be some trail closures Monday and Tuesday.

Very good conditions for skate this afternoon. A variable depth layer of corn snow on an ice base provided good gliding and edging. Firmer on the lower trails and looser up in the woods. Magic Carpet descent is very nice. The climb up Tail End is a problem, as skiers coming down have plowed the loose corn snow off to the sides, leaving a block of ice that was impossible - at least for me - to climb.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Th Piston Bully was out grooming the man made trails at night. The skate deck was tilled and is in great condition. New classic tracks were set and are in great condition as well. The ice was turned over and new snow was brought up which should ski nicely. The playground areas were groomed as well. Stay informed on trail conditions by visiting skinny ski daily. No grooming report means it hasn't been groomed that day. Grooming depends on weather conditions and what is appropriate for the long term care of the trail.

Poor conditions for skate and stride. Hard packed, icy skate deck with just a hint of loose snow from the ginzu. Tracks are deteriorated and icy with occasional debris.

Made a long drive over to Lapham only to discover the worst conditions ive skied on this year (been over here dozens of times this season)-only made one loop due to icy conditions. Expected course to be tilled as they normally do but not today. Very disappointing.

Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ B skis ]
I classic skied from 8-9:30 this morning and found the tracks to be very icy so stuck to the Field Loop. There's a lot tree debris in the tracks by the barn, which made it difficult to navigate. Another skier said it was also icy with debris in the Woods Loop. The snowmakers and groomers have been doing an amazing job, especially considering the conditions, but they don't have superpowers (as far as I know).

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
I tried scratching up the skate deck of the man-made loop this morning with the ginzu. It still seemed somewhat icy with a thin layer of sugar snow on top. May soften up a little as the day goes on. The tracks were left as is and are probably icy as well. The entire trail is pretty dirty with lots of little debris from last night's high winds. I would recommend not using your best skis.

Good conditions for skate. A thick layer of sugery snow is slick but pushes easily and is compressing as the temps rise. The Woods loop is holding up better than the Field loop, and there is plenty of loose snow on the Magic Carpet. Tracks are slick and softening.

The skate deck of the man-made loop was scratched up with the ginzu this morning. Conditions will be a little soft this morning. The tracks were left as is and looked to be full depth and in good condition throughout.
