Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Arrived at 9am with the parking lot filled and parked in the over flow area. With the temperature 32 degrees the skate deck was fast but not icy. The many skiers on the full man-made was not a problem with the wide skate deck and 4 classic tracks. As the temperatures rose to 45 degrees it became slower. Finally at 11:30 at 52 degrees it was very slow to be enjoyable. By coming early I was able to enjoy 15k of skiing. Thanks for the groomer report.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Bare ground ]
The Pisten bully was out at night grooming the man made ski trails. Despite the unseasonable warm temperatures of Saturday the trail held up well. We still have full coverage and plenty of depth. The skate deck was tilled and should be in good condition. New classic track was set and is mostly full depth but it does have an icy bottom in some areas. Grooming plans: This will probably be the last grooming for awhile given the forecast. Hopefully everything will survive and we can continue normal grooming.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Early this morning all the manmade snow trails and playground areas were groomed. New tracks we also set all around. Should be great skiing before temps warm up. Enjoy the day on the snow.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All Machine made snow loops are open. Due to equipment issues, we were unable to groom the skate deck 100%, but only used the Pisten Bully to quickly touch-up a few of the problem areas. The Classic tracks are deep and icy. The skate deck is firm, and icy in spots from the overnight freezing. The Purple loop is in poor condition, but skiable only with rock skis and gumption. The Back and Blue outer loops are in very poor condition.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Variable, fast conditions for skate; very good, fast conditions for stride. Skate deck varies with some areas of loose snow on a firm base and other areas packed hard by traffic. The Green Cutoff on the Woods Loop has areas of sugar snow and other areas that are hard packed and icy. Magic Carpet is good, but may get icy when the sun goes down. Tracks are well formed and very fast.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The Pisten Bully was ou at night grooming the man made trails. The skate deck was tilled and is in great condition. New classic tracks were set and are in great shape as well. The tracks are set for the Wednesday night races and will go back to their normal set up when we groom next.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Very good conditions for skate and stride on the snowmaking loops. Overnight grooming included new tracks, which are generally firm but breaking down in the warm temps. Some debris in a few places, due to the wind. Downhills are generally slow. Skiers take note - keep your trailhead snow white and dirt-free by avoiding the mud near the edges, especially by the ski racks. Use the sidewalk, keep your boots clean, and preserve the snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Overnight I reset the tracks and the skate deck with the Piston Bully on the manmade loop. There is some debris in the trail by the pines but it's not real bad.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The skate deck conditions were great as reported by the groomer earlier today. The 31 degree temperature make my ski more enjoyable. The new ski lodge was nice to meet ski friends. It was my 15th time this season at Lapham and they all had good conditions.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Very good conditions for skate and stride on the snowmaking loops. Skate deck has just enough loose snow on a firm, flat base for easy skating, with no sugar snow. Tracks are well worn and a little glazed; fast but not icy. Magic Carpet is fast, but easily controllable.
