Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Happy new year! I took the new demo Prinoth husky Snocat out Tuesday night. I tilled and groomed the whole man-made trail system. With the addition of the new snow Monday, skiing should be great. Come to the park and enjoy the family ski day event Wednesday.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
4" of new natural snow that was groomed on the hard base of the 2k manmade loop made for enjoyable skiing. The edging was good with the natural snow with no icy areas anywhere. With the report of grooming after 9pm tonight, it should be good tomorrow. Hats off to the groomers and snowmakers.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The manmade ski loop was groomed early Tuesday morning, and a new track set. Conditions are a little soft, but otherwise the trail is in great shape. Grooming has not occurred off of the manmade loop due to the lack of frost in the ground. The freshly fallen snow is insulating the ground from freezing, preventing any grooming.

Monday's tilling, overnight 2" of snow and pre-dawn grooming made for an outstanding Tuesday morning ski. So nice to punch out some K's before work! Should have showed up earlier with a headlight. Tracks were set throughout the man-made snow loops, with only 2-3 short (10-20 feet) sections of dirt protruding through the snow. Can't thank enough all who have kept the trails skiable through the several days of warm weather!

Ski trails were affected by recent warm temperature and rain but have since been tilled and are back to skiable conditions. Trails will be tracked and finish groomed as soon as new snow stops.

[ Trails Open: Most ]
Spoke with park staff shortly after noon, Monday. Man-made trails are icy and dangerous, but will be tilled this afternoon. Snow coverage is still good enough for tilling.

All sections of the man-made loops, including the "into the hills" section, were tilled early this morning and are in very good condition for skating and traditional skiing.

Observation Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
The man-made loop has good coverage but was not groomed overnight and remains icy and bumpy. The "into the woods" section is really not skiable until the weather turns colder and it can be properly tilled. Plans are to resume grooming after this warm spell passes.

Core snowmaking loops were in good condition this morning with a loose layer of corn snow on a firm base. It's getting a bit dirty, from tree debris, walkers, and deer crossing the trail (wish they would clean off their hooves before crossing). The 'demo' Husky snowcat has been busy spreading whales on the 'woods' loops and went out today to till those and other SM trails. Results from the demo look very promising. With warm weather, best time to ski is in the morning.

There is a figure 8 pattern open and I believe the outer loop of that pattern is 1.1K. The snow is deep and as of this morning excellent skiing. The "Into the Woods" section should open soon but among other things the ice needs to come off of the trees before it is safe to groom or ski. Come on out and enjoy the skiing.
