Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions. Tracks firm and fast. I skied the blue loop and some of the red. Only issue was the one skate skier who had there dog off leash and he was running everywhere including chasing a few folks. If you haven't been here I suggest you make the drive.

First time at this incredible facility. Skied all the trails. Classic tracks were solid and fairly fast. This was my maiden voyage on my brand new skis and I felt comfortable except for two place on lakes where there was some hardened slush. Easy to get out of tracks and ski around. A bit of debris in a few sections of the woods but it was pretty embedded in the snow and not a problem. Skate deck appeared freshly groomed. Was more than happy to put some money in the donation box!

Snow base is great--we've had a lot of snow up here. There was a high school meet here yesterday, but it looks like the groomer did a quick touch up run after on the 3k-5k closest to the Nordic Center because the trail was in good shape. In the wooded areas, there is a decent amount of organic material on the ground (especially out by Bowling Alley), but those sections are a small portion of the overall skiing. I was there first thing this morning and temps were around 25 degrees. Get out there!

First Chance (freestyle) Ski Race: Not too many skiers (40-50?) and only a couple die-hard classic. I was one of them. Trail was impeccably groomed, both skate deck and track. I showed about 11K distance with one cordial water stop. Short distance of frozen slush on one pond. Compliments to groomers and considerate skaters for providing a near-perfect classic afternoon. Mora's always a good time.

Excellent conditions! Lots of snow nicely packed and groomed for both skate and classic. I arrived at 10 am and the facility was open.
Do NOT follow Google's information that says the trails are closed. They are open.

Great day out on the trails. Groomers had been at work over night. Skate deck was great and classic tracks were firm. Great snow coverage everywhere. Relatively few skiers out--made it feel like you had the place to yourself. Thanks to the volunteer Snow Farmers/grooming team for their great work on getting the trail in prime condition.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails were groomed Friday night, excellent condition. Full depth classic tracks and skate. Two way traffic to get to the Northwest trails (Rogers Ridge area) due to thin ice.

Wonderful skiing today at Mora. 1/2 inch of new fluff on the skate deck made for first rate skating, and the classic track was in super shape for classic. Good excellent coverage everywhere. This is the place to go if you are tired of oak leaves. Very few oaks here. Some pine debris here and there but easily avoided. Almost the entire system was open and groomed, including the super fun Roy's Ridge.

The trail team regularly grooms all 10k with the PistenBully every Friday, and one to two times per week with the Yellowstone. Current trails are in great shape, ready for family fun this holiday weekend.
