Skated the Teuton loops today and would rate as very good. Classic track looked good too. Kudos to the volunteer groomers!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions. Plenty of snow, fresh groom, nice variety of terrain, and not crowded. Some sticks in the tracks but it was great skiing.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Valhalla's ski trails have plenty of snow thanks to the 4-5 inches following the rain on Thursday. Fluffy powder over a rock-solid base was very skiable, and it looked like groomers were out just as we finished breaking our own trail on Friday. Lots of leaning trees and small debris to avoid, thanks to the heavy snowfall. Get out and enjoy, as winter skiing is finally here at Valhalla!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Parking lot is plowed and groomed all trails Tuesday
but not enough snow to set tracks and limited base. Lots of sticks, leaves and debris on trails so rock skis recommended. In order to do anything more out there, we need more snow, so everyone do their snow dance!

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Crew went out today and there is 3 inches of snow. Tuesday we will attempt to groom and update afterwards. There is lots of leaves, sticks and debris so rock skis are recommended!

Afternoon

[ Good skis ]
Trails not groomed even though there is enough snow. We tracked the A loop of Teuton--previous tracking barely visible under the snow. The Valkyrie side seems to be more popular, as it was skier tracked by others. Parking lot not plowed either--4 wheel drive recommended. Nevertheless, it was a great day to be out skiing these beautiful trails.
