Grooming [ Trails Open: All, ]
|
All trails within the Valhalla system have been cleared from the recent storm. There are still some trees leaning into the trail from the heavy snow load. Please stay aware of your surroundings. Windy conditions are expected throughout the weekend, so be careful. The entire trail system was dragged today, there is a flat, durable surface throughout. Trails B and C on the Valkyrie side (north of highway C), only have one pass through with the drag, but it is passable. In addition, we received approximately 8 inches of new snow Wednesday. Have a nice weekend!

Observation [ Trails Open: Partial, ]
|
Forest Service staff has been busy clearing trails and all loops should be cleared today. Hopefully we will get trails on the Teuton/Chalet side dragged today as well. We are waiting for a part for our groomer and track setter but that should be here late this week (barring any bad weather delays) and then we can begin grooming in earnest.

Who's excited for ski season!? I know I am! We need a little more snow before we can groom and set a track. But we did take the side by side out and cleared the down trees. Time to wax my skis and find my favorite mittens. Hope to see you on the trail!
